Hero MotoCorp is set to unveil its adventure-focused Xoom 160 maxi-scooter at the 17th NADA Auto Show 2025 in Kathmandu. The Xoom 160 marks Hero’s entry into the premium scooter segment in Nepal.
The Xoom 160 is powered by a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine producing 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It uses a CVT automatic transmission and weighs 142 kg, offering a reported fuel efficiency of around 40 km/l.
The scooter’s design includes muscular bodywork, a tall windscreen, and a single-piece seat for rider and passenger. It has a dual-chamber LED headlight and measures 1,983 mm in length, 772 mm in width, with a seat height of 787 mm. Ground clearance is 155 mm, enabling it to navigate uneven city roads and light off-road conditions.
Feature-wise, the Xoom 160 is equipped with a digital instrument cluster that includes turn-by-turn navigation, LED lighting, keyless ignition, ABS, and a remote seat-opening function. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with tires sized 120/70 (front) and 140/60 (rear). Suspension is handled by telescopic hydraulic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers, while braking is managed via disc brakes with ABS.

As Hero’s flagship scooter, the Xoom 160 is aimed at riders looking for a versatile, adventure-ready ride in the maxi-scooter segment. Once launched in Nepal, it is expected to go head-to-head with Yamaha’s Aerox 155, offering an alternative for enthusiasts who want a mix of performance, style, and daily usability.
